Make a Commitment to Kids
We would like you to make a commitment right now to help victims and survivors of child abuse and neglect. Your commitment can be made in any of several different ways:
- Promise to yourself to make a stand against child abuse and neglect in any and all ways you can.
- Sign a Commitment to Children. (PDF document)
- Learn how to recognize and report child and abuse and neglect. By doing so, you could save a life. (PDF document)
- Open your home to a foster child or children. Victims of abuse and neglect who have been removed from their homes need surrogate homes that are nurturing, stable, and safe.
- Become a mentor to a child. A caring role model can make a huge difference in a child’s life.
- Contribute to the dialogue in our Forum. We need fresh and pragmatic ideas on how to solve the problems that child victims and adult survivors face.
- Become aware of the issues that victims of child abuse and neglect must confront while going through the healing process. Unless you understand what their needs are during recovery and why they behave in the ways they do, your attempts at help may do more harm than good.
- Download our free Child Care Worker’s Tips and Tricks Booklet for some practical tips on how to help some of the most troubled victims of abuse and neglect. This guidebook is written by professionals with many years of collective experience in the direct care of children. Therefore, the knowledge in this booklet is based on real-world techniques that actually work, not on theory.
- Read our Mission Statement and let us know if there is an aspect of our Mission you’d like to help us with.
- Become a financial contributor to the Healing Embrace Network. We have very big goals and will therefore require big funds to make them happen. No contribution is too small, and none is too large.
- Volunteer your time, expertise, and talents to our cause. We need help in a variety of ways. Click here to see what help we need.
Positive Thoughts
"So long as we love, we serve. So long as we are loved by others I would almost say we are indespensable; and no man is useless while he has a friend."
– R. L. Stevenson

Cha-ching!
How did one of the founders of Healing Embrace fall in love with advocacy work? It's all the fault of a little girl and her makeshift feelings box.
